Athens and Ancient Corinth in Saint Paul's Footsteps
Meet your professional driver and drive up to Acropolis Hill to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Dionysus Theatre, the monumental gateway of the Propylaea, the Erechtheion, and the Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena. Continue to Mars Hill and then visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus via the Arch of Hadrian. The temple was constructed to honour Zeus, king of the Olympian gods. Next, check out the Panathenaic Stadium, the oldest Olympic stadium, where the first games of the modern era took place in the 1890s. Move on to see the Athenian Trilogy - the Academy of Science, Athens University, and the National Library - three neo-classical buildings placed side by side. Head up to Lycabettus Hill, a popular tourist spot, to enjoy views over Athens. Later, continue to see the Corinth Canal and the sites of Ancient Corinth. The Temple of Apollo and the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Corinth not only provide a deeper understanding of Greek tales, but are also a sight to behold. End the tour by checking out the ruins of the ancient port of Kechries. Drop off at your stay at the end of the day tour.
