The day begins with an amazing breakfast. Then the tour activities begin, including some of the world-renowned Hindu and Buddhist heritage sites in the prime locations of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath Stupa: Swayambhu is an ancient religious complex located on a hilltop in Kathmandu. It is known as a self-sprung monument and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buddhist devotees prefer to make a pilgrimage to this site, and it is also a prime attraction for domestic and international travellers. It is equally known for Newari Buddhism. Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is a centrally located Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pashupatinath Temple features the main shrine with a golden pagoda top, several mini-temples, ashrams, images, and inscriptions. The cremation area beside the holy Bagmati River is another attraction for visitors. Boudhanath Stupa: Bouddha, also known as Khasti Chaitya, has established itself as a splendid attraction for travellers in Kathmandu. It is built in a huge mandala shape and is one of the largest stupas in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this stupa looks beautiful with its hanging prayer flags and spiritual atmosphere, where Tibetan Buddhist monks worship and meditate. Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is filled with artistic beauty, wooden and stone sculptures, and the historical palace of the Malla dynasty. One of the three historical palace squares in the Kathmandu Valley, Patan features distinguished artistic temples, museums, and statues. The traditional and artistic Newari houses around the palace are also charismatic attractions. Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple, and Taleju Bhawani Temple are the major temples in this square.
