Day 01

Boat Tour to Santorini Volcano and Hot Springs

Start from the picturesque old port of Fira. Gialos, the Old Port, lies below Fira, nestled at the foot of a rocky cliff. You will be surprised by the steep slopes of the Caldera, and in the end, the tiny port will appear beneath these huge rocks and the cave houses that seem to dangle on the cliff. There, the guides of your excursion will be waiting for you to give you all the important information and orient you on the boat. Our first destination is the famous volcano of Santorini. After 20 minutes of sailing, we reach Nea Kameni. If you are interested in being guided at the volcano, you will walk to the volcano's ridge with your guide and listen to everything about the history and geology of the volcano. You will stay on the volcanic island for 1.5 hours. Next, we reach by boat the island of Palea Kameni, with the hot springs and the famous mud baths, which were formed as a result of volcanic eruptions. In the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, the water temperature ranges from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius as it mixes continuously with the normal sea currents. The waters are mixed with mud and are full of sulfur, iron, and other metals coming from the volcano, and they are very good for the skin, rheumatism, arthritis, and other physical pains.Important note: In order to reach Agios Nikolaos beach, it is essential that you swim extremely well.
