Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu and Everest Base Camp Trek

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m / 4,593ft) Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, complete visa formalities and collect your luggage. A representative from Marvel Treks will be waiting outside the arrivals area to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, meet your trek leader in the hotel lobby for a detailed trip briefing along with welcome drinks. You may take a short stroll around Thamel before enjoying a traditional Nepali welcome dinner. Accommodation: 3-Star Hotel (Thamel)Meals: Welcome Dinner Day 2: Flight to Lukla (2,860m / 9,383ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m / 8,562ft) Depending on flight conditions and the season, the flight to Lukla may operate from Ramechhap. After landing at Lukla, meet the trekking crew and begin your trek through the Dudh Koshi Valley. The walk is scenic and relatively easy, leading you to Phakding. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 3-4 hoursDistance: 7.8 km Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m / 11,286ft) The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River through pine forests and charming villages. After crossing several suspension bridges and entering Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, enjoy stunning views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru. A challenging final ascent brings you to Namche Bazaar, the commercial hub of the Khumbu region. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 5-6 hoursDistance: 10.4 km Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar This rest day helps your body adjust to the altitude. Explore Namche Bazaar, visit the Sherpa Museum, or hike to Hotel Everest View for your first glimpse of Mount Everest. Browse the local market for trekking essentials and souvenirs. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 5: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,810m / 12,500ft) Trek along a scenic trail with panoramic Himalayan views. Pass through rhododendron forests and small settlements before reaching Tengboche, home to the region's most famous monastery. Enjoy breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and the surrounding peaks. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 5-6 hoursDistance: 9.2 km Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m / 14,468ft) Cross the Imja Khola River and continue past Pangboche village. The trail offers excellent views of Taboche, Nuptse, and other Himalayan giants. Gradually ascend through alpine terrain to reach Dingboche. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 4-5 hoursDistance: 9.1 km Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche Spend the day acclimatizing with optional short hikes to nearby viewpoints such as Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung Ri. These hikes reward you with magnificent views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, Lobuche, and the surrounding peaks. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Day 8: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m / 16,108ft) Follow the Khumbu Khola valley to Duglha, then climb past memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The rugged terrain and thinning air make this a challenging but rewarding day, ending at Lobuche. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 4-5 hoursDistance: 7.9 km Day 9: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,140m / 16,863ft) Walk along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier with dramatic mountain scenery. After a gradual ascent, reach Gorak Shep, a small settlement surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks. Accommodation: Tea HouseMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 3 hoursDistance: 4.5 km Day 10: Kala Patthar (5,545m / 18,192ft) and Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,340m / 17,519ft) Start early for the hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for close-up views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Pumori. After returning to Gorak Shep, continue along the Khumbu Glacier to reach Everest Base Camp. Experience the thrill of standing at the base of the world's highest mountain and spend the night in a tented camp. Accommodation: Tented CampMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 5-6 hoursDistance: 8 km Day 11: Descend from Everest Base Camp to Pangboche (3,930m / 12,893ft) Begin the descent along the same trail, passing Gorak Shep and Lobuche. Continue down past Dughla, Pheriche, and Somare, enjoying warmer air and stunning mountain views before reaching Pangboche. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 7-8 hoursDistance: 12 km Day 12: Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar Descend through Tengboche and cross the Dudh Koshi River via suspension bridges. Pass traditional villages such as Sanasa and Tashinga before arriving back at Namche Bazaar. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 7-8 hoursDistance: 9.3 km Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m / 9,186ft) Follow the Dudh Koshi River downhill through Monjo and Phakding before a final ascent to Lukla. Celebrate your last night in the Khumbu region with your trekking crew. Accommodation: Tea House / LodgeMeals: Breakfast, Lunch and DinnerDuration: 7-8 hoursDistance: 13.5 km Day 14: Flight from Lukla to Ramechhap and Drive to Kathmandu Take a morning flight to Ramechhap, then drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy free time for shopping or relaxation in Thamel. In the evening, join Marvel Treks for a farewell dinner celebrating the successful completion of your trek.
