Phylakopi Milos Phylakopi is a settlement dating back to the Neolithic Period. While excavating archaeologists discovered tools made of obsidian, a volcanic glass similar to granite. Also that was the place where the 'Lady of Phylakopi' was discovered. Papafragas Milos Papafragas is a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves. It is located at the base of pristine ravine that was shaped by volcanic activity. Sarakiniko Beach Milos Sarakiniko is an inlet of pure white rock formations sculpted by volcanic eruptions. It is a unique landscape! Mining Museum of Milos The Museum’s aim is to promote the rich geological and mining history of Milos and to pay homage to all those who have worked hard in order to develop the island’s mineral wealth that contributed greatly to its financial and cultural affluence during its long and uninterrupted history.
