1Day 01
High Mountain Journey through Potrerillos, Uspallata and Aconcagua
Depart early in the morning. Pick up from your accommodation in the city. Travel through three ranges: Pre-Cordillera front range Silver range Main range of the Andes Make five planned stops: Stunning viewpoint overlooking the Potrerillos reservoir, with views of all three ranges, the reservoir, and sometimes sailboats. Short stop in the town of Uspallata. Stop at the Inca Bridge, a geological formation with hot springs and ruins of an old hotel. Stay at the foot of Aconcagua, the tallest peak in the Americas. Short hike in Aconcagua Provincial Park, with breathtaking views of the south face. Stop for lunch in Uspallata on the way back to Mendoza. Return late in the afternoon. Drop off at your accommodation.
