Sunrise Trek to Lokon and Empung Volcanoes
03:30 am: Early morning pick-up from the hotel. 03:30 am: Early morning pick-up from the hotel. 05:30 am: After a short briefing, start trekking from the lava stone mining area and pass by the lava river. It will take approximately 1-2 hours of walking from the starting point to the crater, depending on one's fitness. Near the crater, we could smell the smoke of Lokon Volcano. Between 5:30 and 6:00 am, we could see the spectacular sunrise coming from behind Mahawu Volcano. Also, visit Tomohon City, Manado City, or Bunaken Marine Park (optional). 05:30 am: After a short briefing, start trekking from the lava stone mining area and pass by the lava river.
