Great Wall Hike and Summer Palace Tour from Beijing
Meet your guide in your hotel's lobby at 8:30 am in Beijing. Once you arrive at the Great Wall, you will enjoy a less hurried experience and have time to marvel at this incredible structure and the surrounding hillsides. Hike up and down for about 1.5 hours through various sections of the Wall, exploring the watch and beacon towers. Xiangshuihu is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than the more famous Badaling. Over 96% of Xiangshuihu is covered by trees and orchards, keeping the air fragrant with chestnut blossoms in spring and fresh all year long. After that, stop for an authentic Chinese lunch in the countryside of Beijing at a restaurant for locals, not tourists. Continue to the well-preserved royal garden of the Summer Palace, renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture. The Summer Palace has been listed as a World Heritage Site and is considered one of the world's most classical gardens. Afterwards, return to your hotel in Beijing city centre around 5:00 pm.
