Nicosia and Lefkara Cultural Excursion
Visit the divided city of Nicosia, the biggest town and the important ancient city-kingdom of Ledra, with your Cyprus tour guide. See the Venetian Walls surrounding the old city, stroll through the folk neighbourhood of 'Laiki Geitonia', and walk along pedestrian Ledra Street down to the 'Green Line'. Optionally, pass through the checkpoint control into the northern part and visit the Frankish Cathedral of Saint Sofia. Then, have a look at the Archaeological Museum of Cyprus and admire its treasures, including the richest pottery collection in the world. Next, enjoy a coffee break or lunch in the heart of the city's old quarter. In the end, drive to the hill village of Lefkara, world-renowned for its handicrafts: lace, embroidery, silver, and unique architecture. Return to Limassol.
