Hacksaw Ridge - Duration: 75 minutes View the explanation board and learn about the Three Kingdoms period in the Ryukyu Archipelago. Walk for 5 minutes while learning about important historical sites. View the US landing point of 1 April 1945 and understand how the Battle of Okinawa began. Walk for 10 minutes while learning about key locations. Reach the top of Hacksaw Ridge and understand how fierce the battle was and how Desmond Doss saved 75 soldiers. Continue on a 10-minute historical walk. Visit Needle Rock. Walk for 15 minutes while learning about additional important sites. The Former Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters - Duration: 60 minutes Visit the Memorial Tower. Explore the visitor centre and museum. Enter the underground headquarters. Lunch - Duration: 60 minutes Enjoy lunch at a local cuisine restaurant or another venue of your choice. Lieutenant General Buckner Memorial - Duration: 10 minutes Visit the memorial monument dedicated to Lieutenant General Simon Bolivar Buckner, Commander of the US 10th Army, who was killed here on 18 June 1945.
