East Madeira Scenic Tour
Meet your tour guide upon arrival and start your guided tour. Start the tour at Pico do Areeiro with your Funchal tour guide, one of the highest peaks on the island, before heading to Ribeiro Frio, where you will visit a trout farm and take a short walk to Balcões for an amazing view over the mountains. After that, drive up to Santana, where you can see the famous traditional houses with thatched roofs. Stop here for lunch. Drive to Porto da Cruz, an area known for its vineyards and rum factory. Proceed to Caniçal to see the peninsula of São Lourenço and Machico. Head to Camacha, a town known for its wicker basket industry, to visit the wickerwork factory and see artisans build traditional wicker baskets. Finish the tour in Funchal.
