2Day 02
Jaipur to Jodhpur via Pushkar
Check out of your hotel in Jaipur and set out on a journey towards Jodhpur. En route to Jodhpur, visit Pushkar, the "city of temples," which boasts over 400 temples lining the banks of its lake. If visiting in November, you will also be able to experience the colourful grand annual fair, which includes the largest camel fair in the world. Arrive in Jodhpur and check into your hotel. Later, set out to visit Ghanta Ghar, or the Clock Tower of Jodhpur, the most prominent landmark in the city, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh between 1880 and 1911. Visit the vibrant Sardar Market near the tower. Its narrow alleyways lead to bazaars selling vegetables, spices, Indian sweets, textiles, silver, and handicrafts, making it a beautiful place to stroll around at your leisure. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

3Day 03
Jodhpur Forts, Memorials, and Palace
Set out in the morning to visit Mehrangarh Fort, a majestic hill-top fort sprawling over an expanse of 5 kilometres. It is one of the most formidable structures in Rajasthan. Unscalable from the outside, the fort has four gates approached by a winding road that leads to magnificent palaces with marvellously carved panels, latticed windows, and evocative names. Noteworthy among these are Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Sileh Khana, and Daulat Khana, which you will visit. Next, head to Jaswant Thada, whose imposing white marble memorial marks the site of a royal crematorium. The four cenotaphs here commemorate notable acts of bravery and generosity by four successive rulers, and the building inside features their royal portraits. Visit Umaid Bhawan Palace, a fabulous building divided between a museum and a 5-star hotel. The museum also has a small collection of vintage cars attached, which is a treat to the eyes. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

4Day 04
Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur Jain Temple
Head out early in the morning for a drive to visit the Ranakpur Jain Temple. The sprawling temple complex comprises 1,444 intricately carved pillars and 24 pillared halls, accompanied by 80 domes borne by 400 columns. The apogee of this temple architecture is that no two pillars here are the same. Another exquisite aspect that has earned the temple its name is the carving of the four-headed image of Adinath, sheltered by a 108-headed snake with numerous tails. The entire ceiling of this temple complex is bedecked with geometric designs and scrollwork. Continue onwards to Udaipur and check into the hotel on arrival. In the evening, set out towards Bagore-ki-Haveli, a gorgeous 18th-century haveli that has been converted into a museum showcasing Mewar art and architecture. Here, you will enjoy a 'Dharohar' folk dance performance. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

5Day 05
Udaipur Palaces, Gardens, and Lake Views
Head out in the morning to visit the City Palace of Udaipur, which is reputed to have been built over nearly 400 years with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Next, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a garden located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake that offers a green retreat in the drylands of Rajasthan. It was built from 1710 to 1734 by Maharana Sangram Singh for the 48 royal ladies of the house. Make your way to Jagdish Temple, a world-renowned temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Three storeys high and 79 feet tall, it was built by Maharana Jagat Singhji in 1651 and is today owned and managed by the royal family of Udaipur. Visit Dudh Talai, located on the banks of Lake Pichola near the City Palace. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of Lake Pichola, Jagmandir Island Palace, Lake Palace, Udaivilas, The Leela Palace, the gorgeous Aravalli ranges, and Udaipur's old city. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

6Day 06
Udaipur to Jaipur via Chittorgarh Fort
Early in the morning, set out to see Chittorgarh Fort, the largest fort in India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sprawling across a hill 180 metres high over an area of 280 hectares, 691.9 above the plains of the valley drained by the Berach River, it boasts several historical palaces, gates, a temple, and two prominent commemorative towers. Continue onwards to Jaipur and check into your hotel before retreating for a good night's sleep.

7Day 07
Jaipur Forts, Palace, and Observatory
Head out in the morning to see Amber Fort, built atop a hill in Amer by Raja Man Singh I. The Maota Lake, located in front of the monument, acts as a water source for the fort. See the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jantar Mantar. Built in 1734 by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, it is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments that allow the observation of astronomical positions with the naked eye. Spend one hour exploring the City Palace of Jaipur. The palace was constructed in 1721 and originally served as the administrative and ceremonial seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. It was also the location of religious and cultural events at that time. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum and continues to be the home of the royal family of Jaipur. Visit the exquisite Jal Mahal, a small palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, and continue onwards to see the famous Hawa Mahal. Built in red and pink sandstone, the five-floor exterior of this "palace of winds" resembles a honeycomb with its 953 small windows, called Jharokhas, decorated with intricate latticework. Spend the evening in the city at your leisure before returning to your hotel in Jaipur for an overnight stay.
