Evening Peking Opera Show at Liyuan Theatre
Departure every night except Monday and Tuesday. Duration is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. The show starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 8:10 pm. Pick-up from your hotel or apartment is 1 hour before the show starts; please ensure all participants are ready on time. Transfer to Beijing Liyuan Theatre, located at Beijing Qianmen Hotel, 175 Yong'an Lu, Xicheng District, Beijing. Upon arrival, your tour guide and theatre staff will assist you to your pre-booked seats. Enjoy Peking Opera performances with English subtitles, including acrobatics and stories of successive dynasties, historical events, emperors, ministers, generals, geniuses, and famous beauties, covering ancient times through Yao, Shun, Yu, the Spring and Autumn Period, the Warring States Period, and dynasties from Qin to Qing over 5,000 years. The performance combines delightful humour with traditional Beijing culture and intricate artistry. The theatre has hosted classic Peking Opera performances since 1999 and can accommodate up to 1,000 visitors. Its grand hall features decorations inspired by traditional Beijing opera theatres, including Chinese couplets, calligraphy, opera masks, and folding screens. Budget seats are included by default on both sides of the theatre. For front or middle first-floor seats, please request a new booking and pay the extra cost if desired. After the show, participants will return to their hotel independently. Dress casually and check the local weather in Beijing. Admission to the Peking Opera show and one-way hotel pick-up are included. Gratuities and transfers to or from the airport and hotels in remote areas are excluded.
