Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Paro and Journey Through Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro

Day 1: Arrival - Paro - Thimphu Our guide will welcome and receive you at Paro International Airport. Drive to Thimphu. On the way, stop for the Tachogang Temple view. Check in at the hotel. Visit Memorial Chorten. Visit Tashichoedzong. Enjoy leisure time and explore Thimphu Town. Overnight: Thimphu Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing After breakfast, visit the Buddha Dodenma statue (54 meters tall). Visit Takin Zoo. Visit the National Institute of Zorig Chusum. Lunch at Simply Bhutan Museum. Here, you will get to taste Bhutanese dishes and learn about Bhutanese culture and traditions. After lunch, visit Bhutan Post. Here, you can create stamps using your own photographs and send postcards and letters from Bhutan to your loved ones using the stamps. Enjoy leisure time and explore local markets. Overnight: Thimphu Day 3: Thimphu - Punakha After breakfast, drive to Punakha. On the way, stop for a tea break and explore Druk Wangyel Chorten (108 stupas). After lunch, take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang (fertility temple). Visit Punakha Dzong. Walk across one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan. Check in at the hotel. Overnight: Punakha Day 4: Punakha - Paro After breakfast, take a short hike to Khasum Yulley Namgyel Chorten and explore the beautiful valley of Punakha. Drive to Paro. Stop and rest by the riverside. Visit the Paro National Museum. Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong. Check in at the hotel. Enjoy leisure time and explore Paro local markets. Overnight: Paro Day 5: Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest Temple) This is considered one of the highlights for most travellers to Bhutan. After breakfast, drive to the base and start hiking towards the monastery. The hike takes around 5-6 hours round trip. Visit Kichu Temple. Enjoy leisure time and explore Paro local markets. Farewell dinner. Day 6: Departure After breakfast, the guide and driver will drop you at the airport and bid farewell.
