Day 01

Arrival at Juanda and Transfer to Malang

Meet the guide, who will pick you up from Juanda Airport. Drive about 3 hours to Malang, depending on your flight arrival time. On the way, stop at Singosari Temple, then continue to Malang for an overnight stay in the Poncokusumo area. If you have free time, a possible visit to the waterfall can also be arranged. Overnight at a guest house. Note: It is also possible to stop at Blimbing Sari Airport for a flight to Jakarta or Surabaya.

Day 02

4WD Jeep Adventure and Hike to Mt Bromo

Have breakfast at about 09:00 am, then take a 4WD jeep to Mt Bromo, crossing the Sea of Sand and the Teletubbies Hill. Continue to Mt Bromo Crater for a hike up to see Mt Bromo. A concrete, well-marked staircase leads to the edge of the great crater. From Bromo, you can see the ocean beach and the Hindu temple used by the Tengger Tribe. Check in at the hotel in the afternoon near Cemoro Lawang Village at Cemara Indah Hotel, Kafe Lava, or a similar hotel. Meal: B

Day 03

Sunrise at Seruni Point and Drive to Bondowoso

Set out early in the morning to see the spectacular sunrise by walking about 1 km from the hotel to Seruni Point. Note: if you do not like to walk, we can also take a jeep to Mt Pananjakan to see the sunrise. Return to the hotel after watching the sunrise for breakfast. Drive to Bondowoso. The journey to Bondowoso will take about 5-6 hours. Overnight at Ijen View Hotel Bondowoso or a similar hotel. Meal: B

Day 04

Kawah Ijen Crater Hike and Transfer Out

Drive a short distance before sunrise and start the trail leading up to the beautiful active crater of Kawah Ijen volcano. The hike takes about 1-2 hours and covers a distance of 3 km. Arrive at the rim at 2400 m and explore Kawah Ijen with its famous blue acid lake, the most acidic in the world, and the hot, partly liquid sulphur deposits. The fumaroles are so hot that sulphur emerges as green vapour. Enjoy plenty of time for observation before leaving the Ijen Plateau for your transfer to Surabaya Airport, which takes about 6-7 hours, or to Ketapang Harbour to continue to Bali. The trip will finish at Ketapang Harbour or Surabaya. Meal: B
