Early in the morning, check out the hotel for an elephant safari from 5.30 AM to 6.30 AM in the western range of the national park with your Guwahati tour guide. The main attraction of this wildlife park includes One-horned Rhinoceros, tiger, wild buffalo, elephant, a variety of deer, python and a variety of migratory birds, among others. Have breakfast at the hotel and go on a city tour of Guwahati, a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines.
