Day 01

Drive from Marrakech to M'hamid via Tizi n'Tichka

Meet your tour guide in Marrakech and depart at 8:00 a.m. by 4x4 for M'hamid via Tizi n'Tichka. Continue to the Kasbah of Tamdakhte and Ait Benhaddou, arriving in Ouarzazate. Have lunch on site. Depart for Zagora and, en route, visit the city of Agdz for a panoramic view of the Draa Valley. Travel along the valley to Afraa at the end of the road. Stop to visit the Tamegroute Koranic Library, the underground kasbah, and the pottery workshops. Continue driving to the desert. Arrive at the bivouac in M'hamid, settle into your tents, enjoy dinner around the fire with Sahraoui folklore, and sleep in tents. (Possibility to stay overnight with local inhabitants.)

Day 02

Explore the Deserts of Chigaga

Have breakfast and begin a half-day camel ride. Enjoy lunch under the tamarisk trees. Continue in the afternoon to the great dunes of Chigaga. You will have plenty of time to admire the desert in its majestic simplicity, soak up its landscapes, and enjoy some time to rest. Climb the large dune at Chigaga by 4x4 to watch the sunset over the waves of golden dunes. Dinner and overnight at the camp in Chigaga.

Day 03

Visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou

Have breakfast and depart for the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This is a very old ksar kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue along the track between Erg Chigaga and the dry bed of the Draa, passing through Lake Iriqui, then Foum Zguid, and continuing by road via Taznakht, the carpet capital of Morocco. Stop at the cooperative market for an explanation of the different carpet-making regions. After the lunch break, head back to the kasbah. Arrive at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04

See the Kasbah of Telouate and Kasbah du Glaoui

Have breakfast and depart from Ait Benhaddou at 8:00 a.m. Travel towards the Kasbah of Telouate to enjoy a magnificent panoramic view, holm oaks, pines, and several beautiful Berber villages clinging to the cliffs. Visit the Ounila Valley and Telouate. Continue to the ancient Kasbah du Glaoui. Have lunch on site and continue to your final destination in Marrakech.
