Lake Yacumama Sunset and Piranha Fishing Adventure
3:30 pm - Pick-up from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado and transfer (8 km) along the Interoceanic Highway to the river port. Enjoy a boat ride across waterways leading into Lake Yacumama, with opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Piranha fishing session: learn and practice traditional techniques with local guidance. Sunset experience: enjoy the spectacular Amazonian sunset while listening to the calls of birds returning to the palm forest to roost. Caiman search: after sunset, use flashlights to spot black caimans along the lake's edge before returning. 6:30 pm - Return boat ride and transfer back to Puerto Maldonado.
