Salerno Walking Tour Through the Medieval Town

Meet your tour guide at the pick-up point, travel to Salerno, and begin your walking city tour. Visit Salerno, a Medieval district full of narrow lanes, churches, and period buildings. Along Via dei Mercanti, the heart of the town, you will discover shops with handicrafts and typical products, traditional restaurants, and pretty coffee bars. Check out the Duomo, founded in 1079 and dedicated to Saint Matthew, one of the most evocative examples of Medieval architecture in Southern Italy. It has an amazing crypt, decorated in Baroque style, containing the remains of the Saint. Arrive at the San Pietro a Corte Complex, the most ancient monument in Salerno, the headquarters of the Lombard court in Campania, built on the ruins of Roman baths. Travel back to your hotel after the walking tour is over.
