1Day 01
Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath
Meet your guide at the hotel in the first hour of the day. Start the day with a guided tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a place filled with old history and rich culture. Visit the old Royal Durbar Square and experience medieval Nepal as a whole. Visit Kastamandap Temple, from which Kathmandu takes its name. This temple was built from the wood of a single tree. Sadly, the temple, along with a couple of other monuments, was destroyed in the 2015 earthquake. Walk around the world-famous Freak Street, a popular destination in Kathmandu from the early 1960s to the 1980s for budget travellers and hippies before Thamel became the main tourist centre. Travel towards the western side of the valley to visit hilltop Swoyambhu Stupa, the oldest shrine in the nation. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, this is an excellent place for a short hike and some fresh air. After lunch, take a short rest and get ready to experience Nepal's most significant Hindu temple. In the late afternoon, head north through the city to the holy Pashupatinath Temple. Non-Hindu visitors cannot enter the main temple area. From Pashupatinath, drive further north-east to reach Boudhanath Stupa. This is the biggest stupa in Nepal and is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Boudhanath is the centre of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal, and the majestic architecture of the dome is balanced by the Buddhist atmosphere all around it. Return to the hotel.

2Day 02
Bhaktapur Heritage Walk and Patan Durbar Square
Start the morning with some hot beverages and travel to the third major city, Bhaktapur. Also known as Bhadgaon, the land of rice, Bhaktapur offers some of the least disturbed cultural sites in the valley. As you walk through its stone-patched streets, admire the art and architecture at every corner. The area is famous for beautiful pottery as well as wood and stone carvings. Important places not to miss include Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola Temple Square with its surrounding temples, the Bhaktapur National Art Gallery, and the 55 Windows Palace. After lunch, proceed to the city of arts, Patan. Also known as Lalitpur, this is the second-largest city in the valley. Quieter than the capital, Patan is a living cultural destination on your trip. Visit Patan Durbar Square, where architectural brilliance and art-packed streets await. Explore Krishna Temple, one of the most eye-catching and religiously important monuments in the square. People believe that this vast temple was carved from a single enormous stone. Return to the hotel.
