Day 01

Oualidia Coast and Scenic Drive to Safi

From Marrakech, take a 3-hour drive to reach the city of Oualidia, a peaceful seaside town located on the Atlantic coast midway between Essaouira and Casablanca. This quiet and charming town deserves its nickname, the "Blue Pearl of Morocco". Upon arriving in Oualidia, explore the wonders of its coastline and take a walk along its sandy beaches. Enjoy the tranquillity of this beautiful coast lined with cliffs, then discover the lovely corniche stretching over 12 km and admire its breathtaking beach views. Then, let yourself be tempted by oysters and other seafood for which Oualidia is renowned, enjoyed under an umbrella at the edge of the beach. Enjoy a ride through the small town and admire its charm in the evening. Visit the old Kasbah of the Sultan and its ruins, which can be seen from the upper part of the city. The place is wonderful and guarantees a complete change of scenery. We will then take the coastal road towards Safi for even more scenery, crossing a landscape of striking contrasts. This is an unlikely meeting place between sheep, camels, and flamingos, where the desert meets the ocean alongside market gardens and salt marshes.
